Panthers vs. Eagles odds: Opening lines for Week 6 matchup
The Carolina Panthers, fresh of their division-leading early bye week have been set up as 1.5 point road underdogs to the Philadelphia Eagles. This now qualifies as a lack of respect from our friends at FanDuel. The Eagles are coming off of a three week losing streak that featured losses to the Chicago Bears, the Los Angeles Rams, the Jacksonville Jaguars (in London), questionable decision making by the Eagles coaching staff, and some of the least inspired quarterback play of Jalen Hurts’ career.
The Panthers, if you need to be reminded, are fresh off of a rest week, a primetime win against the Detroit Lions, and are set to return several injured starters that missed at least the Lions win, with some missing the whole season to date.
Remember that home-field advantage is traditionally accounted for by spotting the home team—theEagles, in this case—three points on the spread. That would actually see the Panthers favored by less than a safety on a neutral field.
It is clear that FanDuel doesn’t trust Bryce Young yet. Honestly, that’s kind of fair, but this still feels like a betting line weighted more on performance from past seasons for both teams than it is on the last four to five games of the 2026 season.
