According to the statement, Idris acknowledged the roles played by President Bola Tinubu, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, security agencies and the Nigeria Union of Teachers in securing the victims’ release after weeks in captivity.

“This rescue is a reminder that when government institutions, security agencies and communities work together, we can overcome even the gravest challenges.

May this success inspire renewed commitment to the safety of our schools and the protection of our children,” the governor said.

Idris also congratulated the Federal Government, the Oyo State Government, security agencies and the families of the rescued victims on the successful operation.

He further commended the Nigeria Union of Teachers for standing by its members throughout the period of the abduction.

The governor urged Nigerians to continue supporting security agencies with credible information to strengthen efforts aimed at tackling insecurity across the country.
