According to the government, the break would enable teachers to participate fully in programmes organised to mark World Teachers’ Day, assess developments in the education sector and promote greater unity among members of the teaching profession.
The government congratulated teachers across the state on the occasion and reiterated its commitment to initiatives aimed at improving teaching and learning in Oyo State.
Meanwhile, the Kwara and Ekiti State governments have also declared Monday, October 5, a work-free day for teachers in their respective states to mark the annual celebration.
