Oregon Ducks injury report: Latest updates ahead of Boise State

The Oregon Ducks are finally set to take the field this weekend and kick off the 2026 season against the Boise State Broncos on Saturday afternoon. It’s been a long offseason in Eugene with a lot of anticipation for what’s to come, and at long last, we’re going to get to see what this roster can do.

We also get to learn exactly who will be playing.

Going into a new season, you’d expect a majority of the roster to be healthy, and for the Ducks, that is expected to be the case. However, a couple of injuries occurred either near the end of the 2025 season, in spring football, or during fall camp. Based on conversations with coaches and players over the past month, or sources connected to the program, here’s a look at who we think will be potentially limited or held out of Saturday’s game against Boise State:

According to head coach Dan Lanning, Platt is still dealing with an undisclosed injury that held him out of the spring game earlier this year. Oregon’s coach does not expect him to return to the field anytime soon.

“He’s gonna be limited for a while with the injury he felt in the spring,” Lanning said of Platt. “I don’t want to put a timeline on it, but he’s going to be out for some time until we see where he’s at and continue to progress and challenge himself.”

After being involved in a car accident earlier this year, freshman defensive lineman Tony Cumberland is also expected to be sidelined for the foreseeable future, delaying his college debut.

“It’s a work in progress with him,” defensive line coach Tony Tuioti said. “I don’t think it’s going to be anything that we’ll be able to see him soon. But he’s made so much progress. I think the thing that’s most important is that we have him with us, and just having him in the room brings a smile to all our faces.”

After suffering a neck injury during fall camp a year ago, Gresham was held out for the entire 2025 season and has yet to return to the field. Oregon still has him on the roster, but it doesn’t sound like he will be back anytime soon.

“There’s not really a clear indication that Dillon’s going to be able to help us here in the future,” Lanning said of Gresham earlier this fall. “He’ll be a part of our team, but you know, from a medical standpoint, I don’t know if it’s clear that he’d be able to.”

True freshman wide receiver Jalen Lott showed a lot of flashes early in camp, but he has reportedly been dealing with an undisclosed injury over the last couple of weeks. It is currently unclear whether or not he will play in the Week 1 game against the Boise State Broncos.

After dealing with a torn triceps injury that was suffered near the end of the 2025 season, former starting right guard Dave Iuli missed spring football for the Ducks. However, he has been practicing and ramping back up this fall and, according to Lanning, will be good to play on Saturday vs. Boise State.

“He’s been able to practice for us all week,” Lanning said earlier this week. “(I) feel comfortable that he could play.”

Earlier this fall, outside linebacker Nasir Wyatt was seen with a big wrap on his hand in practice, leading to some questions about a potential injury. However, all indications are that he should be able to go on Saturday against Boise State, although he may still be sporting a large wrap on his hand.

Davison suffered a broken collarbone in the Orange Bowl against the Texas Tech Red Raiders last season, and was limited in spring football because of it. He has been practicing at full strength so far this fall, and, despite suffering a stinger early on in August, should be able to play without limitations on Saturday.
