The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, has confirmed the release of the abducted prospective members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC.
The victims were abducted in the early hours of Thursday.
They left Ibadan on Wednesday towards the NYSC camp in Bende in Abia State when they were abducted.
The Olubadan, Wednesday evening, confirmed the release of the victims.
The traditional ruler revealed this through his Media Aide, Adeola Oloko.
Oloko, who spoke with DAILY POST, noted that the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, called the traditional ruler and informed him of the release.
Oloko said, ‘The prospective members of NYSC who were abducted have been released.
“The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, confirmed this in a telephone conversation with the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Ladoja at 5.00pm today, Wednesday.
“It is true. It is good that you want to double-check.”
