Michael Olise produced an outstanding performance in France’s final friendly ahead of the World Cup. The FCB winger scored all three goals in a 3-1 victory over Northern Ireland in Lille on Monday evening. After opening the scoring in the 43rd minute, the 24-year-old made it 2-0 shortly after the restart. The visitors pulled one back through Patrick Kelly in the 64th minute, but Olise made sure of the win ten minutes later with a beautiful curling strike. The hat-trick hero was brought off to a standing ovation in the 82nd minute, while his Munich teammate Dayot Upamecano played the full match.
France’s World Cup campaign begins next Tuesday, 16 June, at 21:00 CEST, when Les Bleus meet Senegal at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
