Notre Dame offensive lineman ruled out vs. Michigan State

Notre Dame football will be down an offensive lineman for Saturday night’s matchup against the Spartans.

The Notre Dame public relations account for the football team confirmed on Saturday morning that Fighting Irish offensive lineman Owen Strebig is out with a concussion against the Spartans. There was a report earlier in the week that he would miss this game, and that was officially confirmed on Saturday morning.

Strebig is a sophomore offensive lineman from Brookfield, Wisc. He is considered a reserve backup offensive lineman.

The loss of Strebig is not considered to have a massive impact on this matchup against Michigan State, but it’s still never great to lose any depth up front. I wouldn’t personally change my opinion on how this game will play out based on this news but something to potentially monitor should the injury bug pop up during this game tonight.

Kickoff between Michigan State and Notre Dame is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on NBC.
