Wilson tried to get the fan ejected after he pointed at her and allegedly said something that seemingly crossed the line during the Las Vegas Aces’ loss to the Fever in Game 2.

The reigning league MVP has faced a lot of backlash for her outburst, and it appears Sophie Cunningham is joining in on the backlash.

Taking to TikTok, Sophie Cunningham shared a video in which she talks very subtly about the fan who pointed at A’ja Wilson and her reaction to it.

Captioning the video, ‘If you know, you know… Yikes,’ Cunningham talked about how ‘the point’ is making a comeback this year.

‘Not trying to be dramatic…’ Sophie

“Not trying to be dramatic at all, seriously. I’m just here having my morning coffee. What a d*** comeback year for the point. Who would have ever thought? Just, who would have ever thought?”

Of course, Cunningham isn’t just referencing the fan who pointed at Wilson, but her own actions during a regular-season game earlier this year.

On June 22, 2026, when the Indiana Fever faced the Phoenix Mercury, Cunningham began pointing at forward DeWanna Bonner after an altercation with Caitlin Clark.

The pointing got under Bonner’s skin, which only seemed to motivate Cunningham to keep pointing at her. The incident became one of the most talked-about moments of the WNBA season.

Cunningham is obviously using her own history of pointing, along with the incident from Game 2, to try and further rile up Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces.

After the game, Wilson explained how disrespected she felt by the incident and why she wouldn’t tolerate fan behaviour like that when discussing her reaction to the fan’s gesture.

The Indiana Fever reviewed footage of the incident and determined that the fan had not violated the WNBA fan code of conduct, and decided not to eject him from the arena.
