Nollywood actress Mo Bimpe has fired back at critics who questioned her interaction with fellow actor Jide Awobona in a video shared online.

Bimpe reacted after a one-minute clip of her conversation with Awobona attracted comments from social media users.

The actress said people were reading too much into what she described as a normal conversation between friends.

“The fact that so many of you found that interaction strange says more about the relationships you’re used to than it does about mine,” she wrote.

Bimpe stressed that “not every marriage is toxic,” saying some marriages are built on trust, friendship, respect, and confidence rather than fear, insecurity, or constant monitoring.

She also defended her husband, saying her brief conversation with Awobona, whom she described as a family friend, did not threaten their marriage.

“My husband is a secure man. A brief conversation with a family friend does not threaten our marriage or require anyone’s concern,” Bimpe said.

She added that healthy marriages still exist, saying she understood if some people could not relate to such relationships.
