NNL: Sunshine Stars players conduct medical screening ahead of new season

Sunshine Stars players have completed medical screening ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria National League, NNL, season, DAILY POST reports.

According to the club, the exercise was conducted in line with league’s requirements which is part of the club’s pre-season preparations to ensure players are medically fit for the campaign.

The new NNL season is scheduled to kick off in November, Sunday 1st.

The players have expressed excitement about the preparations, embracing a renewed mentality ahead of the new season, according to the club.

The Owena whales says it is putting structures in place to boost morale, enhance welfare and ensure adequate preparation beyond medicals and friendlies.

Sunshine Stars are focused on building a competitive squad to meet supporters’ expectations in the forthcoming season.

They will open their NNL campaign with a clash against Edel FC at the Awka Township Stadium in Anambra on Saturday, November 7th.
