NNL: Lobi Stars restructure coaching crew

Lobi Stars have restructured their coaching crew ahead of the 2026-27 Nigeria National League, NNL, season.

The Pride of Benue missed out on a promotion ticket to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, last season.

Assistant coaches Benjamin Kude and Mathias Asongu have been redeployed from the main team to the club’s U-19 feeder side.

They will team up with Coach Stephen Waghbo, who is seconded from the Benue State Sports Council.

Former Lobi Stars goalkeeper Jighjigh Ahungwa has been appointed goalkeeper coach as part of efforts to strengthen the club’s developmental structure.

Outside the technical crew, former defender Odeh Ogah has been named Assistant Team Manager attached to the U-19 feeder team.

Lobi Stars management believed that the adjustments will help build a more competitive and disciplined side capable of meeting the demands and expectations of the upcoming campaign.
