Nigeria’s Anichebe set to buy England football club

Former Nigeria international, Victor Anichebe, is leading a takeover bid to buy English club Bromley.

According to The Sun, Anichebe is spearheading discussions to buy the newly-promoted League One side.

Bromley’s current majority owner, Robin Stanton-Gleaves, is locked in ongoing talks with the former Everton striker.

Bromley are preparing for their first-ever season in English football’s third tier after two promotions in three years and need a serious cash injection to compete at the higher level.

Anichebe spent more than 10 years plying his trade at the very top of English football.

The 38-year-old played for Everton, West Brom and Sunderland during his playing days in England.
