The Nigeria’s ambassador to Germany, Ita Enang, has officially presented his Letters of Credence to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

The event, which took place at the German Presidency in Berlin on Friday, formally marked Enang’s assumption of office as Nigeria’s envoy to the European country.

The ceremony started with a military welcome parade, followed by the signing of the accreditation register and the formal presentation of his credentials to President Steinmeier.

The two leaders thereafter had bilateral talks on areas of mutual interest between Nigeria and Germany.

Enang said President Steinmeier conveyed his warm regards to Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu and hailed the longstanding cordial relations between both countries.

The bilateral meeting equally evaluated prospects for expanding cooperation in agriculture, food security, technology and industrial development.
