Nigerian Law School Step-by-Step Guide for completion of Bar Part I 2026 Application

The Council of Legal Education, Nigerian Law School has released a detailed step-by-step guide for candidates applying for the Bar Part I 2026 Programme.

According to the notice signed by Aderonke O. Osho, Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration, applicants are required to complete their payment through the Remita platform before proceeding to the Nigerian Law School portal for application processing.

Step 1: Payment of Application Fee

Applicants are to visit the Remita platform via: https://www.remita.net

The following procedures should be followed:

  1. Click on “Pay FGN’s and State TSA”.
  2. Select “Pay Federal Government of Nigeria”.
  3. Type “Council of Legal Education” in the Name of MDA field.
  4. Under the “Name of Service/Purpose” field, select “Application Fee”.
  5. The official application form fee is N30,000.
  6. Applicants must enter their full names correctly in the “Applicant Name” field (Surname first).
  7. Complete all other required details and make payment using an ATM card or by visiting any bank branch.

After successful payment, applicants should proceed to fill out the application form using the link below:

Applicants will receive an email containing their Application Number and Password.

Step 2: Access the Nigerian Law School Portal

After obtaining the application number, candidates should visit the official Nigerian Law School website:
