The Buffalo Bills’ offense continues to be on a roll after another strong win to start the year 2-0. Josh Allen threw two touchdown passes in this simulation and ran for another, with all three of his touchdowns happening in the first half. James Cook III took over in the second half, scoring two back-to-back touchdowns to extend Buffalo’s lead to 38-14.

Jared Goff and the Lions’ offense struggled through most of the game. The offense did pick up two touchdowns in the final quarter, but it was too little, too late. Goff threw three touchdowns in the loss, but he also threw two interceptions which ultimately led to 10 more points for the Bills.

Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons – NFL Week 2 Results According to Madden 27

Cooper Rush and the Falcons’ offense once again struggled to get anything going as they get steamrolled by the Panthers. Meanwhile, Bryce Young and the Carolina offense continued from where they left off last week, scoring 30+ points two games in a row.

Things started off slow for both teams, with the Panthers taking a 13-3 lead at the half. But things quickly changed in the second quarter when Tetairoa McMillan caught a 44-yard TD pass from Young to make things 20-3. They ended up leading 23-3 at the end of the third.

Bijan Robinson closed the gap in the fourth quarter with a seven-yard TD run. However, the Panthers extended their lead when Chuba Hubbard scored on a 1-yard run with just 5:31 left to go.

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears – NFL Week 2 Results According to Madden 27

The Chicago Bears stay undefeated after holding off the Vikings in the final seconds of regulation. After trailing 6-0 halfway through the second quarter, Bears’ HB D’Andre Swift scored the first TD of the day with a five-yard run. However, the Vikings were able to squeeze in another FG drive, taking a slim, 9-7 lead at the half.

But the Bears’ third quarter performance alone perhaps saved them in this one. Up 10-9 with 3:20 in the third, Caleb Williams found TE Cole Kmet for an 11-yard TD pass on 3rd & goal, giving the Bears a 17-9 lead. Minnesota once again could only respond with a FG to start the fourth quarter.

The fourth quarter was fairly quiet until Cairo Santos scored a 54-yard FG to extend their lead, 20-12. The Vikings had just over three minutes to tie the game, and QB Carson Wentz found WR Justin Jefferson for a big 29 yard catch on 3rd & long. Wentz found Jefferson again for a six-yard TD pass with just 1:07 remaining in the game.

Unfortunately for the Vikings, Jordan Mason was unable to run the ball in for the two-point conversion, and the team was unable to recover the onside kick.

Philadelphia Eagles at Tennessee Titans – NFL Week 2 Results According to Madden 27

Team1st Quarter2nd Quarter3rd Quarter4th QuarterFINALPHI0147324TEN30003

The Philadelphia Eagles stay undefeated and the Titans stay winless after a fairly boring 24-3 matchup.

Eagles’ QB Jalen Hurts fumbled the ball on a sack on the team’s first drive, which was recovered by Jeffrey Simmons. Three plays and only four yards later, the Titans were forced to settle for a FG, taking an early 3-0 lead. However, that ended up being their only score of the game.

The Eagles eventually found their footing in the second quarter. A 60-yard run by Saquon Barkley set Philly up in the Red Zone, and Tank Bigsby capped off the drive with a two-yard TD run. Hurts eventually found TE Dallas Goedert for another score in the two-minute warning.

After Barkley scored on a 13-yard run in the third quarter, the Eagles had a 21-3 lead. Overall, their run game managed to help them run down the clock, and they even earned another FG for insurance halfway through the fourth quarter.

Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots – NFL Week 18 Results According to Madden 26

Team1st Quarter2nd Quarter3rd Quarter4th QuarterFINALPIT330713NE307717

The New England Patriots earn their first win of the season thanks to the defense.

Both Aaron Rodgers and Drake Maye struggled in this game, turning over the ball a combined four times. Rodgers threw two picks, one of which was returned by Kevin Byard for a 44-yard TD in the third quarter. Trailing 10-6 in the fourth quarter, Steelers’ RB Jaylen Warren helped the team retake the lead with a three-yard TD run.

New England’s offense finally got their act together when Maye connected with Mack Hollins for a 17-yard TD pass. The team managed to take a 17-13 lead with just over seven minutes to go. The Steelers were unable to respond, with Rodgers throwing his second INT on his final Hail Mary pass of the game.

Green Bay Packers at New York Jets – NFL Week 2 Results According to Madden 27

Team1st Quarter2nd Quarter3rd Quarter4th QuarterFINALGB0103619NYJ070714

The Packers earn their first win of the season with a narrow victory over the Jets. Green Bay’s offense obviously isn’t the same without Josh Jacobs, only earning a total of 75 yards across 24 runs. Furthermore, Jordan Love was inaccurate, only completing 58% of his passes. Nevertheless, the team managed to score 10 unanswered points before halftime to take a 10-7 lead.

Down 13-7 in the fourth quarter, the Jets finally managed to reclaim the lead after Breece Hall broke away for a 22-yard TD run. However, there was still over 10 minutes left to go in the game.

Love eventually scored after connecting with Matthew Golden on a TD pass later in the game. Love tried to throw to him again on the two-point conversion, but the pass was incomplete.

Needing just a touchdown to win the game, Geno Smith led the Jets downfield to the Packers’ 14 with just 2:16 left to go. Hall was tackled for a loss, pushing them back to the GB 16. After the two-minute warning, Smith then threw three incomplete passes in a row, leading to a turnover on downs. With only one timeout left, the Jets were unable to stop the clock, leading to a Green Bay victory.

Cleveland Browns at Tampa Bay Buccaneers – NFL Week 2 Results According to Madden 27

Team1st Quarter2nd Quarter3rd Quarter4th QuarterFINALCLE073010TB777728

Deshaun Watson and the Browns struggled offensively once again as the Buccaneers earned their first win of the season. Baker Mayfield played much better this week, having only one turnover compared to three from last week. He threw an interception on the opening drive of the second half. Fortunately for them, Cleveland’s offense was only able to get a FG, leaving the Buccaneers in charge, 14-10.

Bucky Irving was a lot more involved in the gameplan, earning 16 carries compared to eight last week. He also scored on a 10-yard TD pass in the fourth quarter, giving Tampa Bay a 28-10 lead. Although it got close at times, the Bucs never gave up the lead in their first win of the year.

New Orleans Saints at Baltimore Ravens – NFL Week 2 Results According to Madden 27

Team1st Quarter2nd Quarter3rd Quarter4th QuarterFINALNO0731424BAL14710334

The Baltimore Ravens once again crushed their opposition with a 34-24 win over the New Orleans Saints. Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry continue to ignite the offense as they took an early 21-0 lead. Saints’ QB Tyler Shough prevented a first-half shut out with a two-yard TD run before halftime.

It seemed like the Saints were slowly clawing their way back after a quick FG drive to start the third quarter. But those hopes quickly faded as the Ravens scored another 13 unanswered points to make it 34-10.

New Orleans scored two more touchdowns in garbage time, with the final TD happening in the last 30 seconds of the game. Although the score seems close, the Ravens had no trouble remaining undefeated in week 2.

Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans – NFL Week 2 Results According to Madden 27

Team1st Quarter2nd Quarter3rd Quarter4th QuarterFINALCIN10310730HOU7107327

The Bengals and Texans had arguably the most exciting matchup this week. Overall, this game saw multiple lead changes, with Cincinnati winning near the end of the game.

The game was a constant back and forth, with no team scoring two times in a row until the third quarter. Joe Burrow and C.J. Stroud both had great performances, with no turnovers between either QB. Ultimately, Houston had the lead by the end of the first half after Dalton Schultz caught a TD pass only 14 seconds before the time expired.

Cincinnati responded right away in the third quarter as Joe Burrow found Ja’Marr Chase on a 21-yard TD pass. They were able to get the ball back and score another FG, extending their lead to 23-17. But Stroud quickly erased that deficit with a 33-yard TD pass to Kayshon Boutte.

Then, Houston scored again in the fourth quarter when Ka’imi Fairbairn converted a 28-yard FG. A costly holding call on C Evan Brown pushed the Texans back, possibly being what lost them the game.

Down 27-23, neither team was doing anything for most of the fourth quarter. But once the two-minute warning set in, the AI decided to play like Hall-of-Fame inductees. Burrow and the Bengals drove down the field on a 7-play, 70 yard drive, Tee Higgins caught a touchdown pass with just 0:49 to spare, giving Cincinnati a 30-27 lead.

On the Texans’ final drive, Stroud managed to lead the Texans to the CIN 40. However, with no time left, they opted to go for a FG. Unfortunately for them, Fairbairn missed the 57-yard attempt, leading to a Bengals victory.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos – NFL Week 2 Results According to Madden 27

Team1st Quarter2nd Quarter3rd Quarter4th QuarterFINALJAX0371727DEN7310020

The Jaguars overcome a 20-10 deficit and score 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to defeat the Broncos.

Denver’s offense definitely played better this week, but they barely had the ball in the fourth quarter. Bo Nix, who had 33 passing attempts in the game, had only six passing attempts in the fourth quarter. That’s because the Jaguars dominated time of possession in the final fifteen minutes.

Down 20-10, Trevor Lawrence threw a TD pass to Brian Thomas Jr. with over 12 minutes remaining. Then, Jacksonville’s special teams unit forced a fumble on the following kickoff. This led to another TD drive, capped off by a TD run from Bhaysul Tuten.

Trailing 24-20 now, Nix threw an interception on the next drive which was caught by Jahlani Tavai at the JAX 43. The Jaguars took their sweet time, wasting six minutes on the clock. However, they only ended up scoring a FG, keeping the game alive for Denver.

But the Broncos were unable to make it past their own 40 for the rest of the game, keeping them winless for the first two weeks.

Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers – NFL Week 2 Results According to Madden 27

Team1st Quarter2nd Quarter3rd Quarter4th QuarterFINALLV360716LAC3310622

The Chargers earn their first win of the season against the Las Vegas Raiders. Overall, the entire first half saw, not three, not four, but five completed field goals. Neither offense performed well in this game, with the Chargers having some brief success in the third quarter.

Tied 9-9, Herbert and the Chargers eventually scored the first TD of the day. Ladd McConkey caught a 12-yard TD pass, giving the team a 16-9 lead. They extended that lead with, you guessed it, another FG, to start the fourth quarter.

One more field goal later and L.A. was up 22-9 with just over nine minutes to go. Kirk Cousins finally got his first score of the day with a TD pass to Jalen Nailor. Suddenly, they only needed seven more points to win this game. However, nothing else really ended up happening as the Raiders failed to score on their following two possessions.

Washington Commanders at Dallas Cowboys – NFL Week 2 Results According to Madden 27

Team1st Quarter2nd Quarter3rd Quarter4th QuarterFINALWAS7701428DAL3147731

The Dallas Cowboys earn their first win of the season and keep the Commanders winless.

Overall, this matchup was pretty close for the first half. The Commanders scored first, then Dallas scored 10 unanswered before they scored again. But Dallas ultimately took the lead when George Pickens scored with just 1:15 remaining.

But the Cowboys eventually took over and never trailed again when Javonte Williams ran for a 1-yard score in the third quarter. Washington brought it back again when Jayden Daniels rushed for a three-yard score, but the Commanders still trailed. Another TD run from Williams put the Cowboys up 31-21 and the rest was history.

Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals – NFL Week 2 Results According to Madden 27

Team1st Quarter2nd Quarter3rd Quarter4th QuarterFINALSEA307717ARI00707

The Seahawks stay undefeated with a strong defensive win over the Cardinals.

Drew Lock played okay in Darnold’s place, earning 207 passing yards on 32 attempts. Jaxon Smith Njigba definitely helped, earning 79 of those yards and a touchdown in the fourth quarter. But the Seahawks’ offensive struggles mostly came from the run game. Jadarian Price averaged 5.2 yards in week 1, but only 3.2 in this simulation.

The Cardinals’ offense fared much worse. Jacoby Brissett completed 52% of his passes and threw for just 170 yards. Trey McBride only ended up catching 4 passes for 33 yards, but did score the team’s lone touchdown. But the Seahawks still led 10-7.

After JSN’s touchdown in the fourth, the game was pretty much over for a Cardinals team who was looking to earn their second straight upset victory.

Miami Dolphins at San Francisco 49ers – NFL Week 2 Results According to Madden 27

Team1st Quarter2nd Quarter3rd Quarter4th QuarterFINALMIA00077SF3137730

The 49ers stay undefeated after stomping the Dolphins, 30-7. It felt much like their Week 1 win, with the offensive line leading the charge and the defense playing superbly.

Brock Purdy was never sacked in the win, and Christian McCaffrey ended up earning 113 total yards on 20 touches along with two touchdowns. But it still took some time for the offense to really get into motion. After McCaffrey scored on an 11-yard catch in the third quarter, San Fran was leading 23-0.

Malik Willis and the Dolphins eventually ended up scoring in garbage time. He connected with Malik Washington for a 29-yard TD pass with just under eight minutes to go. But then Deebo Samuel scored on the following kickoff, essentially sealing the game.

Indianapolis Colts at  Kansas City Chiefs – NFL Week 2 Results According to Madden 27

Team1st Quarter2nd Quarter3rd Quarter4th QuarterFINALIND0103720KC10314330

The Chiefs stay undefeated while the Colts remain winless. Despite taking a 10-0 lead early on, the Chiefs allowed Daniel Jones to lead Indy on two unanswered scoring drives. But Harrison Butker’s 53-yard FG as the half expired put KC back on top.

Kansas City got their act together in the third quarter. Patrick Mahomes threw two TD passes, one to Rashee Rice, the other to Travis Kelce. Overall, they ended up leading 27-13 in the beginning of the fourth quarter.

But Jonathan Taylor gave the Colts some hope with a TD run halfway through the fourth. But the Chiefs managed to waste some time and tack on another FG to seal the game.

New York Giants at Los Angeles Rams – NFL Week 2 Results According to Madden 27

Team1st Quarter2nd Quarter3rd Quarter4th QuarterFINALNYG0331521LAR7107024

The Rams win their first game of the season, but it’s a nail-biter.

Up 24-6 in the fourth quarter, New York’s offense scored two unanswered touchdowns (+1 two-point conversion) to make it a three-point game. L.A. was unable to hold onto the ball, so the Giants had one last chance with 2:58 left in the game.

Fortunately for the Rams, Jaxson Dart was sacked and fumbled the ball, which was recovered by Byron Young. After Kyren Williams ran for a first down, the Rams earned their first win of the season.
