NFL power rankings have Broncos listed as AFC's best team

Coming out of roster cuts, the Denver Broncos have one of the best rosters in the league, and updated NFL power rankings reflect that.

The Ringer has Denver ranked third in the league, only behind the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks and the current Super Bowl favorite Los Angeles Rams.

“As long as Nix is healthy—he is recovering from surgery to repair a broken ankle suffered in the playoffs—we can’t dismiss the Broncos as AFC front-runners,” The Ringer wrote alongside the Broncos’ ranking.

Elsewhere on the national media front, ESPN has Denver ranked fourth in the NFL, trailing the Rams, Seahawks and Buffalo Bills (a team the Broncos beat in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs last season).

Denver’s first test of the 2026 campaign will be a Monday Night Football showdown with the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs. The Ringer has KC ranked 15th and ESPN has the Chiefs ranked 13th going into Week 1.
