New York Giants' Jaxson Dart draws Patrick Mahomes comparison
New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart will enter his second NFL season with significant expectations.
Dart excelled throughout his rookie campaign last season and should quickly elevate his game in 2026. The former Ole Miss star flashed elite potential on multiple occasions, and the Giants bolstered their offensive unit with several key additions this offseason.
NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo recently compared Dart to Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes, noting clear similarities in their playing styles.
Mike Garafolo says Giants see similarities between Jaxson Dart and Patrick Mahomes’ style of play:
“I do see some similarities in their playing style. … I know that has echoed inside that building [Giants headquarters].”

“I do see some similarities in their playing style,” he said. “I know that has been echoed inside that building [Giants’ headquarters].”
Garafolo’s comparison may come as a surprise to many, but Dart could quickly emerge as a top quarterback in football this season nonetheless.
The rising star recorded 2,272 yards and 18 touchdowns while appearing in 14 games last season, and Dart will now look to solidify himself as the Giants’ starting quarterback for many years to come.
