The 2026-27 NFL season officially gets underway on Wednesday, September 9, and we are inching closer to kick off Week 1 at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington.
The season begins exactly how last season ended, with a Super Bowl rematch between the New England Patriots and reigning champion Seattle Seahawks. Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
While fans are excited for meaningful football to return, there will be some key players missing for both teams.
When official inactives were released prior to kickoff, Seahawks star safety Nick Emmanwori and Patritos running back TreVeyon Henderson were officially ruled out.
