The chatter surrounding a potential return of Aaron Donald is only getting louder.

There is a chance that the former Los Angeles Rams superstar could make a comeback to the gridiron this upcoming season. Nothing is set in stone; however, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter broke down the chances of Donald making a comeback.

“When you talk to all the people involved, no one is coming out right now and saying ‘Aaron Donald is coming back,’ Schefter said. “But everyone is acknowledging it is a possibility. And the fact that it is even a possibility in June, tells me that I think there’s every possibility it will become more real in July. I think, if and when they present a plan to him, as to how he would be used, I think it’s more likely than not that he’ll be back.”

Schefter went on to say that nobody said Donald would return; however, he did say there is no coincidence that this is a topic of discussion.

Aaron Donald return would elevate Rams to another level

On paper, the Rams have all they need to be the last team standing this upcoming season. If they were to add Donald to the mix, we could be talking about an all-time great team.

Although Donald has been away from the game for the last two seasons, he has kept himself in great shape. The 35-year-old has posted numerous clips of himself working out and staying in football shape.

More recently, he posted a video of himself working out on his social media, a few hours after the Rams had traded for Myles Garrett. That is no coincidence as well.

All the signs point to Donald making a comeback, and if he indeed puts on the pads and cleats again, opposing offenses and coordinators will be shaking in their boots.
