The Indiana Fever faced off against the Dallas Wings on Thursday evening and suffered a rare defeat.

The Fever had previously been in great form and won five matches in a row before losing 95-81 against the Wings.

They remain in the top four for the time being, but the Atlanta Dream are not far behind them with a record of 23-13.

As expected, Fever fans are not overly happy with their team right now, and much of the blame is being put on coach Stephanie White.

Fans suggest Stephanie White was too focused on Kelsey Mitchell records

The main issue many supporters have is that they think White was more focused on trying to help Kelsey Mitchell break records than on actually winning the game.

One fan tweeted: “Never seen a loss more on a coach than this one. SW might as well circled this in the calendar. Play hub ball, hunt KM’s record and ice everyone else out. They just handed them this game.”

A second replied to that suggestion by simply stating: “I completely agree.”

‘Never seen a loss more on

In response to Mitchell breaking her own franchise single-season scoring record, another commented: “Yeah big deal at the cost of losing the game SW was more about getting KM this record than winning this game no one got to get in a rhythm due to this.”

Another echoed: “At the cost of losing the game. SW is a horrible coach and the offense was horrible again tonight. Absolutely ridiculous.”

“I can’t sit through one more game with SW offense. It is great for Kelz record, but we don’t win. I can’t believe the coach changed it,” stated a fifth.

A sixth added: “SW back to playing the horrible offense to get Kelsey MVP and the 20 pt record.”

The Fever will now return to action against the New York Liberty on Saturday.

The Liberty have a 22-15 record right now, but will move just one win behind White’s side if they manage to secure a victory on Saturday.
