Netflix’s Hit Period Romance Officially Wraps Season 5 Filming

After entering production in March, the upcoming fifth season of Netflix’s blockbuster period romance series has wrapped filming. Netflix revealed the update on its TUDUM platform, per What’s on Netflix. The series in question has emerged as one of the most-watched titles on the streamer, with two seasons currently ranked on the all-time top 10 list. Every season of the show follows the love story of a new couple, with several actors having gone on to achieve great success in their careers. The list of the show’s most renowned alums includes Phoebe Dynevor, Regé-Jean Page, Jonathan Bailey, Simone Ashley, and Nicola Coughlan, among others.

By now you’ve probably guessed that we’re talking about Bridgerton, based on the bestselling novels by Julia Quinn. The show’s first season debuted to positive reviews and massive viewership in 2020, and introduced the close-knit Bridgerton family. The second season debuted a year later, and the upcoming fifth season is expected to arrive in 2027. This year, the show aired its eight-episode fourth season in two batches — Netflix followed the same strategy with the third season, which aired in 2024. Additionally, a six-episode spin-off series titled Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story debuted in 2026.

  something was happening somewhere else.
• She is far more loyal than people give her credit for. She defends her friends loudly,
  publicly, and occasionally before checking the facts.
• She would post the photo without asking. You would forgive her, because it is a very
  good photo.

You have no patience for pleasant lies, and she has no ability to
tell them. What looks like coldness from the outside is the most reliable friendship on this
list.

• Wednesday never says a kind thing she does not mean, which makes the rare ones count for

• Gi-hun is not the strongest player in Squid Game, or the cleverest. He is the one who
  keeps choosing to protect somebody else, over and over, at genuine cost to himself.
• You have the same instinct. You notice who is struggling and you stay with them, long
  after anybody would blame you for leaving.
• He is a flawed friend, and that is part of why it lands. He lets people down, then comes
  back and tries again, which is more than most manage.
• He would give you his last chance and never once mention that he had done it.

While the first season is currently ranked eighth on the all-time Netflix viewership chart with more than 110 million views in the first three months of release, the third season is now ranked tenth with 106 million views. News of the upcoming fifth season having wrapped production began to spread toward the end of October, when cast and crew shared posts on social media. A wrap party was held in the final week of October. The new season will focus on the romance between Francesca, played by Hannah Dodd, and Michaela, played by Masali Baduza. Overall, Bridgerton has received high praise from both critics and audiences. It’s sitting at an 83% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, with Seasons 1 and 3 having peaked with 87% scores each. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
