Nebraska tight end target has revealing quote on recruitment

Class of 2027 tight end target Ahmad Hudson gave a somewhat cryptic answer when asked about the status of his recruitment. He spoke with Rivals about the communication differences between the LSU Tigers and the Huskers.

Hudson has taken visits to Lincoln despite committing to the Tigers back in May. He most recently visited Nebraska on June 5. He has visited LSU since then, but this recruitment still feels very much open.

Hudson is currently ranked the 37th overall player in the 2027 class, the second overall tight end, and the fourth overall player in his class from the state of Louisiana, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Hudson told Rivals that one team in particular is making a strong push. While you may need to use context clues to understand the statement, Hudson managed to reveal a lot in his quote.

“The program you wouldn’t expect to be doing their job to try and get me to come there, is doing what they need to do. The program you most expect it from is not doing what they need to do.”

“The program you wouldn’t expect to be doing their job to try and get me to come there, is doing what they need to do. The program you most expect it from is not doing what they need to do.”

Either way, the statement sets the table for a fun couple of months before Signing Day. The Huskers appear to still be very much in this race, and it sounds like it’s going to come down to the wire.
