Nebraska pitcher to train with 2026 USA Baseball College National Team

A Nebraska pitcher has accepted an invitation to participate with Team USA. J’Shawn Unger will work out at the 2026 USA Baseball College National Team Training Camp.

Unger finished the season with a 6-1 record with 13 saves and a 4.05 ERA in 40 innings for the Cornhuskers. In 25 appearances he had 39 strikeouts and a .203 batting average.

The Collegiate National Team, which will be named on July 5 following training camp. The team will then compete in the inaugural World Collegiate Baseball Championship at Taichung City Intercontinental Baseball Stadium in Taichung City, Taiwan, from July 11-15.
