A Nebraska softball All-American has announced her return next season. Softball pitcher Alexis Jensen posted on Instagram that she will pitch for Nebraska in 2027.
The freshman was 25-2 with a 2.32 ERA and 223 strikeouts in 153.2 innings pitched. She held opponents to a .205 average at the plate with only 36 walks.
She owns Nebraska freshman records in wins (25) and strikeouts (217). She led all freshmen in wins and strikeouts and was a finalist for the NFCA Freshman of the Year award.

Jensen was also named a third-team All-American. She is the first Nebraska feshman to be named an All-American in 15 years.
