Five-star edge rusher KJ Green has committed to the LSU Tigers. Green is widely regarded as one of the top overall players from his class, and the georgia-bulldogs/3473/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Georgia Bulldogs remained in the mix for the future star until his decision was announced.
Standing at 6-foot-4, 230 pounds, Green should have no problem in making an instant impact on LSU’s defensive line next season. The talented edge is an elite athlete with unreal speed and strength considering his size, and Green would have been one of Georgia’s biggest additions of the offseason if he ultimately landed in Athens. The big man has been nothing short of electrifying throughout his time at Stephenson High School in Georgia, and Green has reached a final decision despite an extremely hard push from the Dawgs’ recruiting and coaching staff.
Green is ranked as the No. 2 edge and the No. 8 overall player from the class of 2027, per the 247Sports Rankings. The rising star is considered as the second-best recruit in Georgia. Coach Kirby Smart and his staff will quickly become familiar with Green during his time at LSU in 2027 and beyond, and the pass rusher now finds himself in prime position to shine in Baton Rouge despite a very strong push from Georgia.
Georgia’s 2027 recruiting class has had some major additions over the past few weeks despite missing out on Green. 4-star quarterback Colton Nussmeier recently committed to Georgia, while 3-star edge Olayiwola Taiwo has announced his commitment to UGA as well.
