National analyst says Titans' Cam Ward will be top-10 NFL QB

Expectations for Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward are rising rapidly heading into the 2026 season. The latest vote of confidence came from NFL analyst Kay Adams, who predicted that Ward will have a top 10 quarterback season on her “Up & Adams” show.

For Titans fans, the prediction is exciting and also surprising. Ward’s rookie season featured plenty of ups and downs, which is typical for a young quarterback adjusting to the NFL. However, he consistently flashed the traits that made him the number one overall pick last year.

His arm talent, ability to extend plays, and confidence under pressure have given Tennessee reason to believe it has finally found its franchise quarterback. Now, in his second season, Ward’s circumstances are significantly improved.

Becoming a top-10 quarterback in today’s NFL isn’t an easy task. However, New England Patriots QB Drake Maye made the leap to becoming an MVP candidate in his second season last year. That rise followed an up-and-down rookie season, giving precedence for Ward to follow in his second season.

Kay Adams’ prediction reflects a growing belief that Ward has the talent and supporting cast necessary to make that jump. The Titans added a well-respected offensive coordinator in Brian Daboll, who has a proven track record of growth. They also added his top receiver from his tenure coaching the New York Giants, Wan’Dale Robinson, and drafted former Ohio State WR Carnell Tate fourth overall in the NFL Draft.

Of course, projections in June do not win games in September. Ward will ultimately need to prove it on the field. But the fact that national analysts are beginning to place him among the league’s potential breakout stars speaks volumes about the talent he flashed during the second half of his rookie season.

If Adams is right, the Titans won’t just have a top-10 quarterback. They’ll have one of the biggest reasons to believe a playoff push is within reach in 2026, which she also predicted.
