Labour-party-Peter-Obi ‘Mr barefaced hypocrite’- Presidency mocks Peter Obi's comments on ADC crises
The Presidency has slammed the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, over his reaction to the recent court judgment nullifying the leadership of the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

The criticism was made by Dada Olusegun, Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu, on social media, who accused Obi of contradicting his earlier position on the internal crisis rocking the ADC.

In a post on his X handle, Olusegun shared a video of Obi explaining why he and his supporters left the ADC for the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, citing unresolved crises and multiple litigations within the party.

In the video, Obi was heard saying: “There have been crisis upon crisis, litigation upon litigation in our party (ADC), which made us leave that party for another because of several unresolved litigations. And we have left that place to NDC, where the leader has already told us no litigations, and we are pleading with them (ADC) not to come here.”

Sharing the video, Olusegun described Obi as a “barefaced hypocrite”, questioning his recent reaction to the court ruling.

“Mr Peter Obi must have forgotten everything he said in this video. Mr barefaced hypocrite, is this you?” he wrote.

Obi had earlier reacted to the Federal High Court judgment in Abuja nullifying the emergence of the Senator David Mark-led ADC leadership and all actions taken by the executives.

The former Anambra State governor said he received the news with shock, describing the development as unsettling and surprising.

He, however, clarified that he was not challenging the court’s ruling, stressing that the judiciary was empowered to determine disputes according to the law.

He alleged that the instability was engineered by the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, claiming that similar tactics had been used against him in the Labour Party to restrict opposition activities and undermine robust campaigns.

Obi further alleged that the same pattern was responsible for the violence witnessed during opposition campaigns.
