According to Marca, Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho wants the club to sign Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez.

The Argentina international has emerged as Mourinho’s top midfield target as Real Madrid continues to reshape its squad following the Portuguese coach’s return to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid has already signed Marc Cucurella from Chelsea this summer, while Bernardo Silva has also arrived after leaving Manchester City. Mourinho is now said to be pushing for another major midfield addition, with Enzo viewed as the player he wants to lead the center of the pitch.

Chelsea is expected to demand a huge fee for the 25-year-old, who remains one of the club’s most important players. The Blues paid more than £100 million to sign him from Benfica in 2023 and are unlikely to let him leave cheaply.

Metro also reports that Real Madrid is considering a move for Enzo after reaching an agreement to sign Bernardo Silva. If Mourinho gets his wish, the Madrid club could return to Chelsea again after already bringing Cucurella to Spain.
