The Diamond Dawg Classic, Mississippi State baseball’s alumni game, is returning to Dudy Noble Field in 2026.
Details for the second annual game were announced on July 22. The game will take place Friday, Nov. 6, one day before MSU football hosts Vanderbilt.
It will once again be Team Thunder vs. Team Lightning. Will Clark will be the general manager for Team Thunder, and Rafael Palmeiro will be the general manager for Team Lightning.
Team Thunder’s manager will be Mitch Moreland, and the team captain will be Jake Mangum. Jonathan Papelbon will be the Team Lightning manager with Tanner Allen as the coach.
The full rosters will be released at a later date, though tickets go on sale starting July 27.
The 2025 Diamond Dawg Classic drew a crowd of 10,172 fans and featured stacked rosters with former Mississippi State greats like Mangum, Allen, Papelbon, Moreland, Hunter Renfroe, Dakota Jordan and more.
