Minor league update for 8/8/26
Hickory starter Jacob Johnson went two shutout innings, striking out three and walking two.
Paulino Santana was 2 for 4 with a double, a walk and two stolen bases. Yolfran Castillo was 2 for 5 with a homer and a stolen base. Pablo Guerrero was 2 for 3 with a walk and a stolen base. Marco Argudin was 1 for 3 with a walk and a stolen base. Dewar Tovar was 2 for 4 with a homer and a walk. Daniel Flames and Kolby Branch each had a hit.
Hub City starter Izack Tiger allowed a run in four innings, striking out five and walking one. Owen Proksch struck out two and walked one in a shutout inning. Brock Porter threw two shutout innings, striking out four and walking one. Case Matter struck out three and walked one in a scoreless inning.
Casey Cook had a hit. Paxton Kling had a walk and a stolen base.
Joey Danielson threw two innings for Frisco, allowing four runs, strking out two and walking one. Thomas Ireland threw a scoreless inning.
Dylan Dreiling had a hit. Rafe Perich had a hit and a walk. Ian Moller had a hit and a walk.
David Davalillo started for Round Rock, allowing four runs in 4.1 IP, striking out two. Winston Santos struck out one and walked one in two innings of work, allowing a run. Luis Curvelo allowed three runs in an inning.
Cody Freeman, Jared Kelenic and Logan O’Hoppe all had one hit apiece.
