Hickory starter Jacob Johnson continued to have success, throwing three shutout innings while fanning a pair of batters. Johnson has now thrown seven innings over three starts for Hickory without allowing a run, after throwing 25.1 innings over eight appearances in the ACL with a 2.84 ERA.

Yolfran Castillo was 1 for 3 with a walk and his 50th stolen base of the season. Jay McQueen, Paulino Santana and Pablo Guerrero all had a hit apiece. Noah Franklin had a hit and a walk. Kaden Carpenter was 2 for 4 with a double and a stolen base.

Hickory box score

Moises Morales allowed two runs in three innings, walking one and strking out one. Andrew Susac threw two shutout innings, walking one and striking out two. Case Matter struck out two and walked two in a scoreless inning.

Marcos Torres was 2 for 4 with a double. Paxton Kling had a hit, a walk and a stolen base. Gleider Figuereo had a hit, a walk and a stolen base. Maxton Martin had a double. Chandler Pollard had a pair of hits.

Frisco starter Joey Danielson struck out three and allowed a solo homer in two innings. Brock Porter made his AA debut, needing 77 pitches (40 balls, 37 strikes) to get through 3.2 shutout innings, walking six and striking out five.

Dylan Dreiling was 3 for 4 with a pair of homers. Rafe Perich was 2 for 4 with a homer. Sebastian Walcott was 2 for 4 with a double. Malcolm Moore had a hit.

Round Rock starter Aidan Curry made his AAA debut, allow a solo homer in five innings, walking one and striking out three. Adam Macko struck out four and walked one in 1.2 IP, allowing a run. Michel Otanez struck out three and walked one in 1.1 IP, allowing a run.

Rehabbing Danny Jansen had a hit and caught seven innings, and I’m guessing he’ll be activated when the Rangers start their series at home against the Nationals on Tuesday. John Taylor had a hit.
