Minnesota Timberwolves Under Pressure to Give Anthony Edwards a Co-Star, Per Insider

Brian Windhorst recently claimed that minnesota-timberwolves-edwards-no-surgery/" target="_blank">Anthony Edwards is not fully satisfied with the Minnesota Timberwolves roster, especially after they were eliminated in the second round following two consecutive Western Conference Finals appearances.

According to the ESPN analyst, Edwards has been pressuring the front office to upgrade their roster, as he wants a co-star that would alleviate his massive workload. He is coming off yet another productive campaign, averaging 28.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.4 steals on 48.9 percent shooting from the field in 61 regular-season appearances.

“Going forward, after this series, the Minnesota Timberwolves’ future is in question somewhat because of what Ant feels about the roster,” Windhorst reported. “And I wonder, if KAT was still there, he didn’t.”

To Windhorst’s point, one could argue that the Minnesota Timberwolves were in a better spot before trading Karl-Anthony Towns away to the New York Knicks, as Julius Randle hasn’t been great in the postseason.
