Micah Parsons’ brother has waded into the Josh Jacobs case with a defence of the Packers running back. Terrence Parsons Jr. says everyone deserves a second chance.

Jacobs is facing misdemeanor battery and criminal damage charges over an alleged incident involving his ex-girlfriend. The case took a new turn this week, with reports that the district attorney’s office in Brown County holds garage surveillance footage of the alleged altercation.

The NFL are also investigating. Parsons Jr. had his say on X.

Parsons Jr. defends Jacobs amid backlash

‘Yall gotta relax anger gets the best out of anyone everyone deserves a second chance misdemeanors at that,’ he wrote.

The post drew plenty of backlash, and he doubled down rather than backing down.

‘I’ll never be afraid to stand on what I believe in,’ he added. ‘Yall act like he suc*** punched that girl this ain’t a ray rice situation never said he was right but it ain’t right calling for that man’s career.’

He did not say the running back was blameless. His point was that misdemeanor charges should not end a career.

For Jacobs, the biggest threat sits outside the courtroom. The NFL can discipline him under its Personal Conduct Policy, with a potential six-game suspension, and commissioner Roger Goodell could place him on the exempt list.

The reported video changes the stakes. If it shows Jacobs knocking down his ex-girlfriend, the fallout could follow the same path as Ray Rice’s, whose career never recovered after footage of a domestic incident emerged.

That is the line Parsons Jr. is pushing against, arguing the comparison only holds if the tape shows something truly serious.

The league will make its own call once it reviews the evidence. For now, Jacobs waits, his legal team pushes back, and one of the NFL’s most recognisable names has publicly taken his side.
