Massimo Mauro believes Conte is waiting for Juventus call to return

Antonio Conte will continue to be linked with a return to Juventus and has now been tipped for another spell at the club in the near future.

Before the Bianconeri appointed Thiago Motta as their manager, Cristiano Giuntoli reportedly had an agreement in place to make Conte the head coach, with the former Juventus manager waiting for the Old Lady to make a decision.

However, after sacking Max Allegri, Juventus opted for Motta, while Conte joined Napoli, where he went on to win another league title with a different club.

Conte has won Serie A with three different clubs and remains one of the most successful managers Italy has produced. It is therefore understandable that Juventus could consider bringing him back to the club.

Conte has strong Juventus connection

Conte’s first spell on the Juventus bench more than a decade ago was highly successful. He helped establish the team as a dominant force in Italian football and began a period that eventually saw the Bianconeri win nine successive Scudettos.

Juventus would love to experience another period of sustained success, and Conte’s history with the club could make him an option if they decide to change managers again in the future.

His connection with Juventus goes beyond his time as a manager. Conte was also the club’s captain and established himself as an important figure in its history, giving him a strong relationship with the Bianconeri.

Mauro believes Conte would return

Massimo Mauro believes Conte would be ready to accept the challenge if Juventus came calling. He highlighted the manager’s history with the club and his strong connection with the Bianconeri.

Mauro said via Tuttomercatoweb:

“He would accept the challenge, of course. Antonio was at Inter, he was at Napoli, but he’s a Juventus player, he was Juve’s captain, he’s won everything. If Juve needed him, he’d run for it. This is my opinion, of course.”

Conte’s previous success at Juventus means his name is likely to remain part of conversations about the club’s managerial future. For now, however, any potential return would depend on Juventus’ decisions and the circumstances surrounding the manager’s position in the future.
