Manchester City have completed the signing of promising Palmeiras winger Allan Elias in a deal reportedly worth up to £34.2m.

The 22-year-old made 96 appearances for the Brazilian club in all competitions, scoring nine goals and supplying 12 assists after making his senior debut in January 2025.

He is the seventh player to join City during the current transfer window, after Elliot Anderson, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Jeremy Monga, Geronimo Rulli, Pierce Charles and Mathys Detourbet – with the latter duo heading straight out on loan.

City are also in talks to sign Cody Gakpo from Premier League rivals Liverpool, following the Reds’ £123m capture of France international Bradley Barcola.

Allan will serve as a direct replacement for his compatriot Savinho, who joined Tottenham in a deal worth up to £85m last week.

Having followed in the footsteps of Gabriel Jesus and Vitor Reis – both of whom joined City from Palmeiras – Allan told the club’s website: “This is a surreal moment for me.

— Manchester City (@ManCity) August 31, 2026

“Manchester City, with everything they have won over the past 15 years, are one of the most attractive clubs in the world for players. To be able to sit here today and say I have joined them is the proudest moment of my life.

“I love Palmeiras and always will – but the decision to come to City was an easy one. I want to be the best footballer I can be and the conversations I’ve had with the people at City so far have convinced me there isn’t a better place for me to fulfil my ambitions.

“My intention is to help City continue winning trophies. If I can do that, it would be a dream come true.”

Allan could make his City debut when they host Coventry City on September 5, with Enzo Maresca’s men already having six points on the board from two Premier League games.
