Luis Díaz believes Bayern Munich teammate Harry Kane should win the Ballon d’Or
With the awarding of the Ballon d’Or just around the corner, every individual in the footballing world (even the nominees) had their say on who the winner should be. For Ballon d’Or nominee Luis Díaz, he knows exactly the player who should win it: his teammate and England captain Harry Kane.
“I’ve noticed that several people have spoken about it, and everyone has their own opinion, right? And that’s respectable,” Díaz said in an interview with Sky Germany’s Karry Hay (via @iMiaSanMia). “In my opinion, Harry has to be the winner. Because he’s one of the best footballers in the world and has been showing that for a very long time. And the season he had last year was incredible.”
During Kane’s reception of the European Golden Boot, several legends of the game congratulated him and backed him for the Ballon d’Or: Bayern’s very own Bastian Schweinsteiger, Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand, Premier League all-time top goalscorer Alan Shearer, Leicester City and England goal machine Gary Lineker, the list goes on.
