A busy recruiting Sunday continued for LSU football with the addition of a three-star running back to the 2027 class. Brennen Lacy committed to Lane Kiffin and the Tigers, per a report from Rivals. Lacy was LSU’s second commitment of the day, joining blue-chip defensive end KJ Green.
Last week was a rough one for LSU on the recruiting trail. LSU lost five-star defensive end Jaiden Bryant to Miami and safety Mekhi Williams picked Wisconsin over LSU, but after two splashes on Sunday, LSU is back in business.
Lacy fills a need for LSU as he’s the Tigers’ first running back of the class. 247Sports is the highest on Lacy, slotting him as the No. 31 RB in the class of 2027. The Rivals Industry Rankings rank Lacy as the No. 908 overall recruit in the class.
With Lacy on board, LSU’s class ranks No. 23 in the sport. LSU has six commitments, but that number is expected to grow in the coming weeks.
