LSU baseball lands elite transfer portal outfielder from Notre Dame
LSU baseball continued building its transfer portal class on Wednesday, securing a commitment from former Notre Dame outfielder Bino Waters. Per 64Analytics, Waters is the No. 3-ranked player in the portal. He’s LSU’s top-ranked addition of the cycle so far.
Waters announced his pledge to LSU with a social media post on Wednesday morning. Waters fills a key need for Jay Johnson and the Tigers. LSU needs to replace the bulk of its outfield production, with Jake Brown, Derek Curiel, and Chris Stanfield expected to turn pro.
Waters comes to LSU after spending two years at Notre Dame. With the Irish in 2026, Waters posted a 1.057 OPS, hitting 10 homers and scoring 46 runs. Waters hit for a .362 average with a .610 slugging.
