Loggers Legion baseball falls to AA Lakers, 7-1

Jul. 3—Hunter Fann hit a two-run homer and the Kalispell AA Lakers picked up a 7-1 road victory over the Libby Loggers Tuesday in Legion baseball at Lee Gehrig Field. Miles Arrowsmith added a pair of doubles for the Lakers (8-9), who jumped ahead 3-0 in the fourth inning. Tait Orme was hit by a pitch to reach, setting up Fann. He jumped on a 2-2 pitch to left and made it a 2-0 game. Lincoln Fisher added another run on a sacrifice fly later in the frame. Libby (8-10) got a run back on a squeeze bunt in the sixth as Jordan Griffin sent home Tanner Wolfe. Dalton Cannon pitched three scoreless innings for the Loggers, allowing one hit. Seven different Libby pitchers took the mound. Five Lakers stepped on the hill with Engle, Orme, Arrowsmith and Beau Schulz throwing two innings each. Wyatt Asher threw one inning. Bransen Holzer and Cannon had the lone hits for the Loggers. Libby plays at Sandpoint on July 6.
