Liverpool vs. Leeds United Pre-Season 2026: Preview, Lineups, and How to Watch

Liverpool conclude their preseason tour of the United States of Trump by playing Leeds United in Chicago. The Reds are 2 wins out of 2 on their tour so far, having dispatched Sunderland 4-2 and Deadpool FC’s Wrexham presented by Disney+ with special guest stars It’s Always Sunny 1-0 on previous outings.

The tour has mostly featured youth and fringe players, since most of Liverpool’s best players have been slow to return to action after something called the World Cup. However—and to repeat myself from 3 days ago—the trio of Ryan Gravenberch, Florian Wirtz, and Alexander Isak have joined up with the rest of the squad, and so they could see their first minutes under the new Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola tonight.

The last match out was a bit of a drag, but with the short turn around and hot afternoon sun, we should probably expect more of the same. While it would be nice to see the makings of an identity under Iraola, the important thing to watch for tonight is how he wants to set up his side and where the best players are being deployed. Hopefully a few of the expected starters can get longer run outs tonight in order to help build up match fitness for the opening day, which is coming in a hurry.
