Liverpool steps up Diomande pursuit

According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Liverpool has made contact with RB Leipzig over a possible move for Yan Diomande.

The 19-year-old has emerged as one of the Reds’ leading attacking targets, with Liverpool looking to strengthen their wide options ahead of the new season.

Paris Saint-Germain is also interested in the Ivory Coast international, but Liverpool is currently said to be in the strongest position with the player. If the player side of the deal looks possible, club-to-club talks with Leipzig are expected to follow.

Diomande joined Leipzig from Leganes in 2025 and quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young wingers in Europe. The Bundesliga club is keen to keep him and would reportedly demand more than €100 million to consider a sale.

Liverpool is expected to be active in the market this summer, and Diomande appears to be high on their list as they look to reshape their attacking department.
