Liverpool are set to submit an offer to sign Bradley Barcola from PSG.
According to a report from L’Equipe, they will submit an offer of €115 million to PSG, and it remains to be seen whether they can get the deal done.
The report further claims that PSG are likely to turn down the offer. They will demand in excess of €150 million in order to let the 23-year-old leave. The player is keen on a move this summer, and he has made it his priority to join Liverpool.
The development will come as a huge boost for the English club, but the asking price could complicate matters. Even though he’s a quality player, €150 million is a lot of money for someone who is not a guaranteed starter for PSG.
The 23-year-old will be desperate to sort out his future quickly and focus on his football. He needs to play every week in order to continue his development and fulfil his potential.
Barcola can operate on either flank, and he will add goals and creativity to the team. He registered 20 goal contributions for BSG across all competitions last season, and he will help Liverpool improve going forward. The Premier League side needs more creativity and goals in the team, especially after the departure of Mohamed Salah.
It remains to be seen whether they can convince PSG to accept a reasonable offer. It is highly unlikely that any club will pay €150 million for the French international.
If Liverpool fails to convince the French outfit in the coming days, they could look to move on to alternatives. They have already signed Victor Munoz this summer, and they have also been linked with Ibrahim Mbaye.
