In a recent post on the Daily Briefing, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that Liverpool have a verbal agreement with Brighton and Hove Albion winger Yankuba Minteh. It has been revealed that the Gambian talent is dreaming of a move to join the Reds this month.
Minteh’s Impressive Numbers In The Premier League
Minteh managed to shine at times in the Premier League in the previous campaign when he put in a run of impressive displays on the right side of Brighton’s attack. The Gambian wide player scored three times and picked up four assists in 36 matches for the Seagulls last season on all fronts.
The 22-year-old is currently among the most talented young wingers in the Premier League. Hence, it is no surprise that the Reds are showing interest in securing his services in this transfer window.
His current contract at the American Express Community Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Liverpool to sign him on a cut-price deal this month.

Will Minteh Be A Good Choice For Liverpool Boss Andoni Iraola?
Minteh is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few dangerous runs with it out in the flanks. He has the vision to create some decent chances for his teammates to score and can shoot the ball with venom from long range.
The Gambian talent has already added some goals and assists to his game. Minteh is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also function as a left-winger if told to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Merseyside club if they manage to snap him up this summer.
We can expect Minteh to bring more quality and depth to Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola’s attack. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at Anfield.
At 22, the future looks quite bright for Minteh as long as he continues to improve with each season. He will also help the Reds compete across all competitions over the next few years. Therefore, Minteh would be a great choice for Liverpool to consider in the long run.
