Liverpool enquire about Rayan

Liverpool are continuing their search for a long-term successor to Mohamed Salah and Bournemouth winger Rayan has emerged as a player of interest, according to Teamtalk.

The Reds have made enquiries about the Brazilian youngster, who is understood to be a player discussed in detail with new head coach Andoni Iraola. As Liverpool plan for the future of their attack, they are exploring a number of options rather than focusing on a single target.

Their preferred choice remains highly rated RB Leipzig prospect Yan Diomande. However, the teenager is believed to favour a move to Paris Saint-Germain, with talks between the French champions and Leipzig ongoing. Liverpool are keeping a close eye on that situation, particularly as PSG’s pursuit of Diomande could potentially affect the future of Bradley Barcola, another player admired at Anfield.

Rayan is firmly on Liverpool’s radar after impressing club scouts before his move from Vasco da Gama to Bournemouth in January. The Cherries ultimately moved faster to secure his signature, but Liverpool’s interest has not faded.

He joins a growing list of attacking targets linked with the Merseysiders, alongside Yankuba Minteh, Said El Mala, Matias Fernandez-Pardo and Iliman Ndiaye.
