The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has officially granted approval to Lens Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, to run 14 distinct Higher National Diploma (HND) academic programmes. This development follows a successful resource inspection and accreditation exercise conducted by the regulatory body.
The NBTE accreditation team had previously visited the institution on Monday, May 18, 2026, to assess the polytechnic’s facilities, faculty, and readiness to deliver high-quality technical education.
Following the successful evaluation, the management of Lens Polytechnic expressed its appreciation to the NBTE for a thorough exercise and a prompt response, noting that the approval is a significant step forward in advancing tertiary education in Nigeria.
Management Announces Admission Into New Programmes
Consequent to the official approval, the management of Lens Polytechnic invites applications from qualified candidates for admission into the newly accredited courses. Notably, the institution is opening doors for specialized enrollment in cutting-edge fields like Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Crime Management, and Community Health.
The 14 newly approved and accredited courses span engineering, media, information technology, management, and health sciences:
HND Computer Engineering Technology
HND Electrical Electronics Engineering
HND Film and Multimedia Production (FLM)
HND Journalism and Media Studies (JMS)
HND Strategic Communications and Media Studies (SCM)
