Philadelphia 76ers’ newest star Jaylen Brown made it clear that he would welcome the legendary LeBron James amid free agency pursuit.
The 76ers are in the mix to land the 41-year-old James this offseason in a likely win-now move for James in his 24th season to win another title in his career.
With the 76ers not being the only team in the mix, new acquisition Brown sent LeBron a simple message to show he would welcome his arrival to the city of Brotherly Love.

Brown appeared on IShowSpeed’s stream during the 2026 FIFA World Cup match between Morocco and France and sent a message to the NBA legend on one of the most-watched streams on the internet.
“LeBron, pull up to Philly.”
Whether LeBron watched Speed’s streams or not is irrelevant; Brown’s message will likely get to the NBA’s all-time leading scorer as he ponders his decision.
LeBron averaged 20.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 7.2 assists last season, effortlessly proving that he can adapt his play to fit any role from the No. 1 option to the No. 3 option.
The 76ers might be the perfect team for LeBron James
In terms of sentimental value, it’s hard for any team outside the Cleveland Cavaliers or Miami Heat to stand a chance in this free agency, especially with win-now projects on both franchises.
The 76ers might provide the best basketball solution for James. They have a clear hole at power forward that LeBron can fulfil, while being able to play as a third or fourth option behind Brown, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey.
James reportedly doesn’t want to be the one carrying a team anymore, so joining the 76ers might be perfect for his high-IQ skill-set, as he can plug the holes in their talented rotation.
A word from Brown to go alongside team executive Bob Myers, literally making his free agency pitch to LeBron’s agent Rich Paul on a podcast, might prove the franchise is serious about landing James.
However, the decision of where LeBron actually ends up is up to him, and it seems we’ll go at least a few weeks without a confirmation.
