Across the 23 years he has played in the NBA, LeBron James has set and shattered plenty of historical records. He has earned accolades for being the youngest to do so and the oldest to do so. It is a tremendous testament to his impressive longevity and unmatched talent.

Now that he is entering his 24th season, James has taken on a new challenge, and that is playing for the Philadelphia 76ers. This is a huge test for James because his intention is to win a championship with Philly, a team that has not won the championship since 1983, a year before he was even born.

As one of the league’s greatest-ever players, LeBron is a phenomenon. He always finds ways to make a winning impact for his team, which he has done for every team he has played for. He had two championships with the Miami Heat, one with his Cleveland Cavaliers, and one with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Only four players in NBA history have won championships with NBA teams, which are Robert Horry, John Salley, LeBron, and his former teammate, Danny Green. With this move to Philly, James is ready to make history yet again.

If James does win with the 76ers, that will make him the first-ever player in NBA history to win a championship with four different teams. Theoretically, a role player can get lucky and land on four different championship-winning teams, but James is different. He was a featured superstar on the three previous teams, and he could do so again in Philly.

“It’s no doubt LeBron is playing for a different legacy, and the legacy being the only player in NBA history to win a championship with 4 different teams. And he’s playing on borrowed time. It’s like he’s playing with spare change now,” ESPN’s Shams Charania said on The Stephen A. Smith Show.

For the longest time, James has been part of the debate for the greatest of all time. The only other player who is in the conversation is the iconic Michael Jordan. If LeBron does win it with the 76ers, he has yet another strong argument in his bid to become basketball’s GOAT.
