· · 1 min read

The attention of the management of Lagos State University (LASU) and the Federal University of Science and Technology (FUSTECH), Epe has been drawn to a misleading notice currently in circulation, alleging that the LASU Epe Campus has been converted into the Federal University of Science and Technology (FUSTECH), Epe.LASU and FUSTECH clarify false claims

We wish to state, unequivocally, that this information is false. The LASU Epe Campus remains a fully functional campus of Lagos State University, housing the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, the School of Agriculture, the Pre-Degree Studies Programme, the Sandwich Degree Programme, and other academic and research centres.

For clarity, the Federal University of Science and Technology, Epe, is a newly established institution. LASU, in the spirit of collaboration and partnership, has agreed to share some of its facilities and infrastructure at the Epe campus on an interim basis to support FUSTECH’s smooth take-off. Each institution, however, retains its distinct identity, governance structure, and academic operations. This arrangement will continue pending FUSTECH’s relocation to its permanent site.

Please note that, Lagos State University, Epe Campus, has not been converted into Federal University of Science and Technology, Epe.LASU and FUSTECH clarify false claims

Members of the public, prospective candidates, parents, and all stakeholders are therefore advised to disregard the misleading notice in its entirety and to rely solely on official communications from both institutions for accurate information.

Both universities remain committed to academic excellence and to guiding all stakeholders appropriately at all times.

Signed

Mr Emmanuel A. Fanu,

Registrar, Lagos State University

Mr Kabiru Olawale Okugbesan,

Registrar, Federal University of Science and Technology, Epe
