Langhorne native Nolan Jones sent to Seattle in MLB trade deal

Langhorne’s Nolan Jones is on the move again. The Major League outfielder was sent by the Chicago White Sox Saturday in a four-player deal to the Seattle Mariners in return for veteran starting pitcher Luis Castillo.

Jones, a Holy Ghost Prep product, had not seen action with the Chicago parent club this season. He previously has had two stints with the Cleveland Guardians and in between played two seasons for the Colorado Rockies, where he posted his best season in 2023, belting 20 homers and stealing 20 bases. Cleveland made him a second-round pick in the 2016 MLB Draft.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Mariners will receive former Phillies relief pitcher Seranthony Dominguez, catching prospect Boston Smith, as well as Jones in exchange for Castillo, a former All Star.
