Lamar Jackson has been ruled out for the Ravens‘ Sunday night matchup against the Atlanta Falcons with an ankle injury, leaving Tyler Huntley to lead Baltimore’s offense.
The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec reported Friday that Jackson will miss the Week 5 game after injuring his ankle shortly before halftime of Baltimore’s victory over Tennessee. Huntley replaced him for the second half and completed eight of nine passes. Jackson’s absence puts Huntley in line for his first start of the season as the Ravens attempt to improve to 4-1. Baltimore will face an Atlanta team that has won consecutive games behind quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and running back Bijan Robinson.
The Ravens have expressed confidence in Huntley’s ability to operate offensive coordinator Declan Doyle’s system. His experience gives Baltimore a familiar option behind Jackson, with Derrick Henry, Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews providing established playmakers around him.

Jackson’s availability beyond Sunday remains uncertain. Zrebiec also reported that coach Jesse Minter said it was too early to determine whether Jackson could return against Cleveland in Week 6, though the quarterback is working extremely hard to get back.
For now, Baltimore’s immediate task is preparing Huntley for a road start at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Ravens will need efficient quarterback play and steady production from their supporting cast while Jackson continues his recovery.
